In Kos you will find the most extended beaches in the whole Aegean.
One of the most famous organized beaches is this of Tigaki, with warm, shallow waters and thin sand. Another sandy beach of 1000 meters length, is this of Lampi, which is found 4km south and west from the town of Kos. Also, 3,5 km from the town at the south, after the port of Kos, you will find the beach Psalidi and Agios Fokas, with small pebbles and crystal waters.
Keeping the same direction for 5-6 km more, at the end of the road and after descending the hill, you will find yourselves at the beach of Thermi, where you can enjoy famous mineral spas, inside a round artificial lake that is surrounded by rocks right near the sea. The warm spa waters come out from the deep ground and create bubbles to the surface.
It is a natural spa with beneficial properties for every age, where body and spirit will relax in just a few minutes. Having as its landmarks the volcanic black pebble and sand, as well as the surrounding rocks, this beach is ideal for pictures of rare wild beauty.
Leaving the town, after Tigaki, where your base is, you can visit many great beaches. In a distance of 3km at west you will find Marmari, mostly with little waves and with white sand, this beach is ideal for surfers. Keeping the same direction we arrive to the famous village Kardamena. There lies a huge sandy beach. Its left side is organized and offers sea sports, while its right side is more quite and calm, with dunes and natural trees shadow.
The next stop is Paradise Beach, with direction to Kefalos. This beach is a miracle of nature, it is endless and it creates a bay of 6 km length. Its waters are shallow but get deeper as you walk in. You will not find a single rock in its bottom, while if you turn your eyes behind while swimming, you will see hills with thousands of cedar and palm trees.
Moving 7 km at northwestern of Kefalos, we meet a beach with beautiful coves, Agios Theologos, which took its name after the chapel of Agios Ioannis Theologos. Finally, at a 5 km distance northern of Kefalos, inside a little bay, you will find Limnionas, a quiet beach and a hospitable shelter for small touristic and fishing boats in case of bad weather.
